2. Arthur² Furse (John¹) was born in Illinois April 1870. Arthur died February 2, 1909 in Maywood, IL, at 38 years of age. His body was interred February 5, 1909 in Forest Park, IL, Forest Home.

He married Selma Marie Miller in Chicago, Cook, IL, February 4, 1893. Selma was born in Libicy, Germany February 19, 1875. Selma was the daughter of Frederick William Mueller and Ernestine Amelia Mueller. Selma died December 2, 1937 in Michigan, at 62 years of age. Her body was interred December 5, 1937 in Royal Oak, MI, Oakview Cemetery. Selma was divorced from Charles W. Gordon in Michigan, Between 1913 and 1918. Arthur Furse and Selma Miller were married on February 4, 1893 in Chicago, IL. According to the 1900 census, Arthur was a laborer in a canning factory living in Maywood, IL. At the time of his death he was a shipping clerk in the Chicago suburbs who died of diabetes on February 2, 1909. He was buried February 5, 1909 in Forest Home Cemetery in Forest Park, IL.

Arthur Furse and Selma Marie Miller had the following children:

3 i. Ruby³ Furse was born in Maywood, IL 1894. Ruby died Prior to 1900 in Maywood, IL, at 6 years of age.

4 ii. Gladys May Furse was born in Illinois February 23, 1900. She married Frank A. Grenier in Detroit, MI, March 13, 1918. Frank was born in Detroit, MI December 16, 1896. i0 Frank's occupation is listed as a butcher.

5 iii. Alice E. Furse was born in Illinois November 22, 1903. She married Edwin F. Grayer in Detroit, MI, July 26th, 1918. Edwin was born in Illinois 1898.

6 iv. Howard Furse was born in Indiana October 12, 1904.
