2. Mathew Joseph² Loeffler (Rupert¹) was born in Milwaukee, WI April 22, 1941. Mathew died May 18, 2006 in Ponca City, OK, at 65 years of age. His body was interred May 23, 2006 in Ponca City, OK, Resthaven Memorial Park.

He married Betty Lurae Burgener in Milwaukee, WI, May 3, 1969. Betty was born in Township of Schley, Lincoln County, WI June 22, 1935. Betty is the daughter of Herman Burgener Jr. and Violet Rose Vanderford. Betty was divorced from Ben Davis 1968. Matt died of cancer. Matt's obituary follows:

Matthew Joseph Loeffler, Ponca City resident, passed away Thursday, May 18, 2006, at the Shawn Manor Nursing Center in Ponca City. He was 65.

The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 23, at the Osage Heights Baptist Church with the Rev. Harold Hutchins, pastor of Osage Heights Baptist Church, and Jerry Grever of Osage Heights Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at the Resthaven Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home.

Matt was born on April 22, 1941, to Rupert Loeffler and Gertrud Barron Loeffler in Milwaukee, Wis. He graduated Pious High School in 1960 and began to work for A.O. Smith in Milwaukee. During his younger years Matt enjoyed camping with his friends.

On May 3, 1969, he married Betty Burgener Davis in Milwaukee, Wis. They moved their family to Ponca City in 1981 where Matt went to work for St. Joseph's Hospital as a custodian for eight years. After his work at the hospital he went to work at the Albertson's Distribution Center for 10 years.

Matt loved to be with his family and really enjoyed being around his kids. He also enjoyed tinkering around with mechanical things.

He is survived by his wife Betty of the home; seven children, Laurie and her husband Al, Jim and his wife Gloria, Bucky and his wife Sandy, all of Wisconsin, Beth and her husband Ron, John and his wife Susan, all of California, Rod and his wife Carol, and Tom all of Ponca City; brothers, Rupert Loeffler Jr., James Loeffler, Donald Loeffler, Jerry Loeffler, all from Wisconsin, and Larry Loeffler of Oregon; 30 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Kenny.

Casket bearers will be Tom Loeffler, Rod Davis, Michael Davis, Allen Bladorn, Jason Oswalt and Logan Davis.

Honorary casket bearers will be Jack Streeter, Greg Jenkins, Gary Jackson, Steve Dotson, John Bowman, Gene Hutchinson, Derrick Fok and Larry Steele.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Osage Heights Baptist Church, 3859 Tapp Road, Ponca City, Okla. 74604 or to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 102454, Atlanta, Ga. 30368.

Mathew Joseph Loeffler and Betty Lurae Burgener had the following child:
