He married Judith Lynn Vanderford in Elgin, IL, January 30, 1960. Judith was born in Elgin, IL July 26, 1940. Judith is the daughter of Charles Homer Vanderford and Sybil Mae McBurney. Judith was divorced from Ralph Wayne McElyea in Elgin, IL, February 17, 1978.

Ralph was divorced from Judith Lynn Vanderford in Elgin, IL, February 17, 1978. Judy and Ralph raised Kevin McElyea, born August 26, 1963, from age 2 1/2 to 13 years. Kevin's biological father was Ralph's brother, Ron. Kevin later returned to his biological father.

Ralph Wayne McElyea had the following children:

2 i. Peggi Lee² McElyea was born in Elgin, IL March 7, 1956. She married Tracie W. Potts. (See Tracie W. Potts for the continuation of this line.)

3 ii. Annette Lucile McElyea was born in Elgin, IL January 20, 1958. Annette died March 5, 1984 in Elgin, IL, at 26 years of age. Her body was interred March 7, 1984 in Elgin, IL, Lakewood Memorial Cemetery. She married Daniel Beisner. (See Daniel Beisner for the continuation of this line.)

4 iii. Terri Mae McElyea was born in Elgin, IL January 20, 1958. She married Dale W. Joiner in Elgin, IL. Dale was born in Elgin, IL January 23, 1957. Dale was divorced from Terri Mae McElyea in Elgin, IL.

Terri was divorced from Dale W. Joiner in Elgin, IL.

Ralph Wayne McElyea and Judith Lynn Vanderford had the following child:

5 iv. Dana Lynn McElyea was born in Elgin, IL August 10, 1965. She married Joe Hilgart in Elgin, IL, June 15, 1985.
